Update on the recent outbreak of Covid-19
We wanted to update our clients, their families and the professionals we work with that Brain Injury Services Ltd is very much open for business in light of the ever-changing Covid-19 outbreak, although in a very different way.
Our team is used to working creatively, remotely and sensitively and this won’t change in light of the Government advice. We are working hard to see clients where absolutely needed, while taking the correct precautions and advising them in light of the latest advice. We have already undertaken a programme of reassuring and supporting clients, to ensure their concerns are addressed and that they are being given the correct information.
Our highly proactive team of case managers have always worked creatively to ensure lines of communication with our clients, support workers and other necessary agencies are kept live and open at all times.
We will be working remotely until we’re advised otherwise and have been set up for remote working for some time – so the move has been seamless. We are looking to minimise face-to-face and external meetings over the coming weeks – using telephone calls, video calls or email instead - unless absolutely necessary (when precautions will be taken).
If we’re working together at the moment, please rest assured that we have everything in hand and that our team have been prepared for this. If you have any questions or requirements, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, using the same contact details as ever:
By email email@example.com or call 01424 777928.
We’re working hard to support all our clients and professionals so if you can’t get through to us, please leave a message and we’ll do our very best to get back to you as soon as we can.
We would like to assure you that the welfare of our clients and employees is of paramount importance and we are closely following Public Health guidelines in order to minimise any potential risk.
Our clients and their families may wish to read the latest advice from the Government:
Like everyone else, we will be monitoring the situation and following the advice available, and will let people know of any changes.
Brain Injury Services Ltd will continue to operate as normal (with less handshaking and more virtual jazz hands) but we will of course let you know should anything change.
Thank you, stay safe and stay in touch!
Celebrating 20 years of service to our brain injured clients
Based in Battle, East Sussex the organisation now provides case management to clients across the South East of England in Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, London, Essex and Kent.
Don Young founded Brain Injury Services Ltd in 1999 and whilst now retired from front line case management, he remains actively involved in the operations of Brain Injury Services Ltd as Chairman of the Company. Don always wanted a company and the team to be like a family, and to ensure our mission, strategy and activities work in harmony to benefit our clients as well as our people.
Jennifer Mitchell took over the day-to-day management of the company in June 2013 and works closely with Don and our new Clinical Lead, Rhiannon Stokes. The strong Clinical Lead and operations team manage all aspects of our operations and oversee clinical governance and excellence in the management of all cases. The family ethos and values which Don developed over many years are still very much at the heart of our company. This is embodied in our core values which translate into the ethical, sustainable and innovative ways in which we, and our team, help our clients and their families.
Our operations team and clinical lead are always on hand to give advice, support and guidance to our case managers and case management associates, and work tirelessly to support and develop trusted relationships with our clients and legal professionals.
Our Trusted Services
What they say about us
The Team at Brain Injury Services are a pleasure to deal with and offer a fantastic service to both their clients and other professionals. We are grateful for all the support and assistance they give us.
Laura is a committed and enthusiastic case manager. She goes the extra mile in helping clients deal with very stressful situations. She never loses sight of the client's needs. I would have no hesitation in recommending Laura to others and have recommended her to my colleagues. My client is very happy with Laura and with all the support she provides her. Her background in psychology is an added bonus, which helps bring an intelligence and insight to a role which is so vital to my clients.
Kat Howard and her team at BIS really go the extra mile for clients. The team members are trained to support with compassion and understanding and they have the ability to work in often very stressful situations. I highly recommend them for their caring professionalism and reliability, as do many of my Clients and their families who are fortunate enough to have their support.
We uphold the highest of standards.
Our commitment is to provide the people within our care with a safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality service in line with CQC's regulations.
We review our practice at regular intervals and aim to improve at every opportunity.
